Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, this is creates a similar result to my own attempts, and the edges of the stars become quite blurred/indistinct.
In particular, the background we are using behind the stars is a dark grey colour, and you can see some blurry white sections around the edge of the stars when they are yellow.
