Michael, maybe it’s something else? I’m using the same version and it works well with chrome – any bugs I’ve found have usually been caused by my own tinkering.
Maybe it’s not my place to be making suggestions, but the ‘restrict content pro’ plugin would appear to be what you’re looking for.
What do you mean by ‘customer’? Is that the person who posted the job, or a job seeker? The only thing with the rcp plugin is it doesn’t seem to allow restrictions by custom user roles, just the standard wp ones. However, if your customers are in fact some sort of subscriber and you want to restrict what they see, then this can be done by restricting the item to subscribers only, and then by the level of subscriber.
