Jackennilsen, your and other users stats should start updating again, sorry for the stop in updating, there was a bug in the web service that I just addressed that was stoping the updating. So they should be working now, let me know if they don’t update soon.

WebGuruSana, Is your advanced widget set to show your youtube subscribers in both places? Or is one of the plugins set to display another metric (contacts, etc…)?

Jan, We’ll see if that helps, you would think as a Plugin Developer that there would be an option to automatically receive an email for each post in your plugins support forum… hohum.

WebGuruSana, which widgets are you using in your sidebar and footer? simple or advanced?

Jackennilsen, I’m looking into why you wouldn’t be updating anymore. Hope to have you something this morning.

And hopefully wordpress will start sending me emails when someone posts here.

Ok, I think I have all your issues addressed, I just pushed out version 0.9.6.1 download at your liesure.

There is a new option in the admin to “Clear and Reset Options” go ahead and use this option if your options are not saving properly or displaying properly. It will flush out all of the options and start you from ground zero.

Let me know if you have any other issues and I will get them addressed.

Thanks for using Social Crowd, and I hope you have good results with the Social Count Plugin.

Sorry it took so long to get this one out. This plugin was the first that I ever built, and as a result had some structural issues that had been perpetuated since the initial release, but needed to be reengineered. So it took a bit to get them addressed as well as have the twitter API updated.

There have been one or two bugs reported with the new release, but simply re-save your options and that should fix them. If there are any other issues please let me know and I will get them addressed.

Sorry about the delay in getting the update out, I had quite a few structural changes to make besides the fix for the twitter API. Additionally @highlightstudios the issue you were encountering where it displayed “Social Crowd Options Failed to Update” when you updated your settings should be fixed as well.

Please let me know if you have any difficulties.

The update changes the way the settings are stored into a better fashion moving forward, in testing the settings upgrade function was working fine, but it looks like there may be some instances where the different social network tokens didn’t migrate properly.

Please verify your settings and re-save them and let me know if they start working or not.

and if that isn’t your problem please give me some further details that could help with the debugging process and get it fixed.

    Thanks

Yeah, I have confirmed the issue you are receiving, it appears that twitter killed the API that the plugin was using, so I am working on a new way to deal with updates without the public api. but it may be a couple of weeks before I have a fix out for it… sorry.

Yeah, sorry there were some issues updating the code base in the SVN… Glad it’s working for you now.

Sorry there were some issues in updating the code base. The changes are listed in the changelog with the plugin entry.

Google has made it pretty difficult to get access to those stats. There are several different methods that I have tried, but none of them have worked consistently… as a result the Google+ support has been removed in the latest release. Hopefully I will find a fix that works properly in the near future…

    Sorry.

    fifthhouse,
Sorry for the delay, Christmas and all that good stuff kept me busy.
I think I have a solution for you,
To get your facebook stats as your page sits currently you need to just put in the long number at the end of the URL’s that you sent over and that should properly grab the Likes for your page.

Alternatively you can head on over to http://www.facebook.com/username and setup an actual “username” for your page, which you can then put in as the facebook token for Social Crowd to grab the pages likes.

Hope that solves your problem as well dimke.yu

Post back your problems or success.
