In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Plugin update for UpdraftThanks Bryle. Does this mean that I will need to upload this through my FTP site? I was hoping to be able to update it within my WordPress site.
Instead, can I deactivate my current version of the plugin and install & activate the new version through WordPress?
Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Updraft Plus Update FailedThanks David – My web hosting company solved the problem. Although I had lots of disk space on my site, I was near the limit of my Permitted number of files. Once I cleared out some old WordPress files, the number of files was reduced and I have adequate room now to install my plug-in updates.
I really appreciate your assistance.

In reply to: Fatal error after updating a plug-inThank-you for your assistance. I was able to determine that my website was using an older version of php. Once my website host updated the php version, the problem was resolved. It does not appear to be an issue with the plug-in. Thanks for your suggestions. I’m back in off the ledge!
Cheers,
DaleI have changed my back-up to Dropbox and therefore this issue is no longer relevant. Please consider this resolved.
I should add one thing more – the log states that an email was sent. See below
0072.902 (0) Sending email (‘Files and database (Full backup)’) report (attachments: 0, size: 0 KB) to: info@…
However, it doesn’t look like there was anything in the email – no attachments and no size. I was expecting 5 emails – database, others, themes, uploads and the log.
Let me know if there is anything further I can provide to assist you with resolving this issue for me.
Thanks
DaleI have updated the plug-in to the latest version. I have included the database in the Back-up Now button criteria, as it was before. I’ve backed up again since I’ve moved to the latest version. The log file says the back-up appears to have completed successfully, but this time I did not get ANY emails of my back-ups. I checked and the email option is selected. I am getting other emails.
I realize that some of my files are large for a mail server to receive, but that has so far not been a problem. My “other” category of files to be backed-up is less than 1 MB, so if it was just a file size issue, then I should still have received an email for the smaller size file.
Now I need help to figure out why I am not getting any emails of my back-ups.
Your assistance would be appreciated. Here is the Dropbox link to the file:

In reply to: Re-linking a website to local host running XAMPPProblem is now resolved. It seems that XAMPP was not launching when I booted up my computer. Therefore MySQL and Appache were not running. I was able to start both MySQL and Appache by opening the XAMPP control panel to get access to my website. Then I copied the XAMPP start-up in the to start-up menu for my computer and XAMPP now launches each time my computer starts. Access is now through my browser as before.
Great to know that there are lots of WordPress experts out there to help.
Thanks
