    I think it’s easier to just use web host’s URL redirection service if you have access and then do what you just asked about. But if you can’t access the web host’s control panel, I think WP has a plugin that does the redirects. I can’t remember the name of the plugin that I tried once. I think it was at http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection.

    Maybe this plugin will work: Advanced Category Excluder. It will hide some of your categories from home/index page.

    Sorry for cluttering up this thread. I missed something crucial to this plugin and it works just fine now.

    Niiicce! I really love that daisy in the background. Great job.

    Cool! I did this too. Looks better somewhat.

    Although I can’t understand the language, I really like your template! I really like the structure and unity in your design. Great job on dot matrix effect. The design alone is enough for me to appreciate the whole thing. 🙂

    I thought I’d post under this topic without starting a new one. I’m not sure why blogging via email doesn’t work for me. I’m using 1.01-miles version. I tried to send an email and I did get the email I wrote in my inbox with no error, but it didn’t show up in my blog. I wondered if I’m doing something wrong. I checked POP3 acct and seemed to be allright. What else am I supposed to do in addition in setting up in Blog-By-Email settings? I used the subject prefix correctly but to no avail. I feel like I’m missing something here. Help would be greatly appreciated…I intend to use WP fully. 🙂

    Mister X, I tried to use ecto’s latest version but I got an error:
    Query:
    {blogid = 1; password = ******; username = xxxx; }
    Response:
    {
    “/FaultCode” = 1;
    “/FaultString” = “Unknown method”;
    “/kWSHTTPResponseMessage” = <NSCFType: 0x1ce1c00>;
    “/kWSResultIsFault” = 1;
    }
    when I try to make an attempt to refresh Categories. I don’t know if it’s my side of problem or WP’s or ecto’s. I’d love it to hear if there’s any solution to this because I’m a Mac user.
    Also, when I try to go to /xmlrpc.php page and I got this error:
    faultCode 103 faultString XML error: no element found at line 1
    I don’t know what that means. Hopefully, somebody can answer.

    Thanks for the info. The thing is…I’m a Mac user, not PC user and w.Blogger is only for PC users when I checked it out. There are limited blog clients for Mac. That’s why I mentioned BlogApp and Ecto but both generated errors. Again, I should’ve been more specific — do anyone know any other clients for Mac that work with WP? 🙂

    Hey everybody…guess what? I finally got it! I got the CSS the way I wanted in my template and it looks great…I’m wrapped in absolute bliss! Took me some time to study CSS list stuff and pore over examples via links you guys posted. I went back to square one and fooled around with CSS till I was satisfied. Lemme tell ya, making CSS work with your template is really powerful. I’m duly impressed with CSS, esp. making it work in both PC and Mac (since I’m a Mac user). I really appreciate all of your help. Now, I can officially say WP rox and MEAN it!

    Hmm…it might partially answer my question…I’m using Mac and use Safari 1.0 mainly. I’ve not upgraded to 10.3 nor Safari 1.2 yet. Yes, I did try using list style in CSS file and it didn’t work either. It still embeds the unwanted li tags in my template even though I cannot see them in the edited template. Could this be the reason why I kept seeing those?

    It’s easy to make transparent tabs. Do it in Photoshop (or your preferred image editing program) to do that effect. Nice template, ihad, esp. the hazy mosiac pictograph.

    Let you know that the Friends only AutoUpdate LJ script works, LL! I tested and everything is good. Thanks so much for the hack. I’m really enjoying WP so far. Sushubh, yup, I converted and took me a while to figure it out (upgrading). Now ev’thing’s running. Great stuff! I’m using 1.01 for now and look forward to next update.

    I tried this hack and it works great so far. I’m wondering if it’s any way possible to adjust the hack to make each post I make automatically friends only post rather than public one? I find this hack easier to use than when I was on b2. Thanks.
