I got filebase to work nicely for a lot of functions. It would be great if users were able to be a little more interactive with it (category creation with security coverage, delete categories and files they have uploaded, add notes to uploads). Since the developer has worked so hard to make this and he is generous enough to supply it for free I consider the things its lacking minimal.
I don’t think there are those kind of security features with this plug-in. I did see another one that had user specific content functions i think it was called sp client document and manager

Hello again…I’m back. After searching many many other plugins yours still is the best match for what I need with the exception of one other option. The other one is more a membership plugin and not specifically a user specific content plugin however has extensive documentation and many other features. It is crunch time and I need a solution ASAP. I have a little bit of hesitation because I am looking for a long term solution. Are you planning on continuing development on this plugin? If I purchase the premium will it be updated when wordpress is? What about additional features I may need? Is this plugin reliable as it stands right now or are there still little bugs that need to be smoothed out for security or any other issue? As I mentioned before I am looking for a plugin to allow me to offer some virtual legal services to my clients.

I read through the manual, your website and this support forum and have the same need as the person above. I provide paralegal services and I would need each client to have access to their own specific content which is not seen by anyone else. I see you have done some updates on the plugin anything that affected this capability or is it still necessary to take a tad bit of a round about approach?

you can add the file list widget to the protected/private page so those can see it also.

thebane90, you can put the file browser list on a public page and only have the upload widget on a private or password protected page that is only accessible to certain user levels.
Same here with the everyone staying clicked and not saving. I posted days ago about another permissions issue and still no replies.
I figured out the private files however there is no option to make the category private as well. So if one user creates a category and adds files only the files wont show up to other users but the category will.
Help…Anyone..??

Any other things a user/client would have to have installed to make it work and look the same as it does on my admin end?
