One thing to keep in mind is that the plugin will only allow you to save tags that are already defined in the tag list,
/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=post_tag– You can enter a non-existent tag in the text field and it will appear below it in the list, of tags, but when you save the form, any non-existent tags will be removed.This does reveal a problem with the UI, however – in that invalid tags should be called out in some way. I hope this answers your question.
