This has been resolved. Country restrictions were added to the page. Once I removed the restrictions the plugin instantly started working again. A good way to test this was to log out of facebook and try to visit the page you are using for the plugin. If you are prompted to login to facebook, most likely there are restrictions on the page that will need to be removed.
