    HI Kevin

Sorry for the delay in replying. I agree, the sidebar content does usually sit below in mobile view but in this case, it doesn’t – it just doesn’t appear at all. It sounds like this is a glitch somehow and maybe it’ll right itself.

Page Builder looks interesting though and I am looking at it this morning as it will definitely help with building the site as I go forwards – so thanks very much for that tip.

I might rebuild it with this anyway and see if it fixes the problem.

    Cheers! Katie

    HI Kevin

I can’t post screenshots as the issue is on a smartphone, not my desktop. If you could look at my homepage, you’ll see there is text in the sidebar, using the Text Widget. If you then view it on a mobile (not full site version, just the default mobile version), it does not show the side bar at all so loses these Text widgets.

I only have an iphone so I don’t know what it looks like on other mobile devices!

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    HI Kevin

Thanks for your response, I thought that may be the case. It isn’t the responsiveness that is the issue. I just don’t like the stripped-down version of my website that it defaults to on smartphones as it loses some of the content (the Text Widgets for example, which I use a lot on my site).

    See http://www.montenegro4sail.com.

If smartphone users then select to view full site, everything is there and it looks great – but the basic stripped-down mobile version isn’t as functional as I’d like it to be.

I’m not a CSS coder so I can’t do anything there really – but is there a plugin you could suggest that would stop the mobile version from loading?

    Thanks very much!

Thanks for your input. This sounds way too simple! 🙂

Don’t I need to make a new database etc or does the Duplicator do this for me?

And can I literally clear the entire root folder manually? Doesn’t anything need to be left behind?

I would like to check all of this before I begin.

    Thanks!

Did you get an answer to this as I want to ask exactly the same question?

    Thanks.

    Katie
