In reply to: After upgrade to 2.7 – very slow@ Otto,
Same thing here Otto. Everything worked perfectly untill the installation of 2.7!!! After that the loading of the dashboard slowed down terribly. If several users experience that problem I think that calling it “NOT A WORDPRESS PROBLEM” does not really help. Allright I don ‘t get load times upto 5 minutes but performance has decreased considerably where a performance increase was promised. Ans please don ‘t misunderstand. We all appreciate the work and effort you put into answering questions here.
Cheers Berend.

VERY VERY SLOW after upgrading to 2.7
I upgraded because of the promiss of better performance. Speed dropped to about 1/10th. Terrible.

In reply to: Call to undefined function the_author_id()Had the same problem. Reloaded the author-template.php file and the problem was solved. In my experience most of the problems that occur in WordPress have to do with some files being corrupted while transfered.
Thanks, Berend

In reply to: Crashing ‘Write’ pageBut DID you upload all the files in the root directory too???

In reply to: Crashing ‘Write’ pageProblem is described here:

I had the same problem (read the last post)
In my case it was caused by my own stupidity. Replaced both the wp-admin and the wp-include folders but forgot the files in the root directory when upgrading.
Plase check that you have uploaded ALL THE FILES.
Good Luck!

In reply to: Problem 2.5.1 post_new.php and post.phpThank you Otto. I solved the problem here. It was caused by my own stupidity. When upgrading from 2.5 to 2.5.1 I replaced the wp-admin and the wp-include files but FORGOT the files in the root directory. After replacing that files too the problem was gone. I’m quite sure that I am not the only dumb *** here so probably others made the same mistake.

In reply to: Problem 2.5.1 post_new.php and post.phpSame problem here. My error_log has grown to more them 4000!!! pages and IE AND firefox consume 90% CPU capacity when editing a post. Evrything comes to a hold. I have tried to replece the admin-ajax.php with the old one from 2.5 but that did not help.
