I think there is an other problem in this . I read this message and some others , specially on gmail behaviour. I think Postie is not able to “ask” gmail to delete a message ‘anymore?) .
I have Postie succesfuly working for some +5 years on some WordPress pages .. but with Gmail I have the same problem: sinds the message is not deleted , Postie will repost it every time as determined in the time sequens indicated in the settings.
-possible workaround ? :– forsee the choise to let postie only post messages that are unread in hte mailbox?

I strongly dislike the button ” upgrade automaticaly” . I use wordpress on my own sites for at least 15 years , and it has never worked out good.
manual upgrade works form me, but for now and then I am teaased to try the automatic way … and then I run into trubble…
the guru that really find out ,gets my blessing
