My site is built entirely using WordPress functionality. I have uploaded some files to it using the WordPress command Add Media / Upload Files. I’ve then inserted at my site some links to those files using Add Media / Media Library / Insert Into Page. You can see the resulting links at http://www.BernardRivers.com/cambridge-exams.
Given that I have only used WordPress functionality, I had been hoping that SlimStat would providd a means to measure downloads from those links. If not, I’m not sure what is being referred to in the section “Recent downloads” at the bottom of SlimStat’s Site Analysis page.
Doc and docx. I enabled these by putting “pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, zip” under Settings/Extensions to Track. I’ll be happy to give you admin access to http://www.BernardRivers.com if that would help. Bernard.
