In reply to: formerly a "Themater error" now something elseThrough the Bluehost account. It gave me the option to restore the 3.1.2 version in case there was a problem with the upgrade. I really don’t want to be forced to start from scratch and lose all of my posts and comments on my blog. Anything I can still do ?

In reply to: formerly a "Themater error" now something elsethanks harmck, i tried it but it did not work for me.
esmi: I tried to do what you told me
“Rename your wp-content/themes folder to wp-content/themes-old. Then create a new folder in wp-content called themes. Place a new, unzipped, copy of Twenty Ten in this new folder. Then try logging into your site. “
I created a new themes folder and renamed the folder themes-old. I then placed the new unzipped copy of Twenty Ten in the folder. when i tried to access the blog, I got a 404 error. What did i do wrong?
i also am new with FTP but am learning as i go.

In reply to: formerly a "Themater error" now something elseOk great this sounds like it will work.
One thing: I have been accessing these files through the Bluehost file manager. I tried to rename the themes folder but it would not give me the option to rename folders, only files.
I went to “configure ftp client” where it gives me the configuration files and tried using Cyber Duck for Mac but it would not load for some reason. anything I could do ?

In reply to: Fatal Error 'Themater'Hi Esmi. Here’s my problem:
I logged onto my blog site and noticed that my right sidebar was not in its place. I then scrolled all the way down to the bottom and found it under all of the posts. I went to the appearance section in the dashboard and clicked “Activate” on the theme that was installed. when i reloaded the page, I got: Fatal error: Class ‘Themater’ not found in /home1/watermus/public_html/smackwatermusic/blog/wp-content/themes/MusicLifecopy/functions.php on line 3
when I went to my FTP, I could not find my current theme’s folder at all under the themes section in the wp content folder.
Any help is appreciated.
