Thank you so much for looking into this. I trust your judgement. I will continue using your plugin happily. Thanks!
That feature isn’t enabled. Also, I had ticked the profile setting of “Unauthenticated user” and I believe that tests as a logged out user.
Oh, wow. Thanks for the fast response.
Yes, that’s the one.
I tried another page and SH was not so high. But it’s odd that it appears on the front end at all. Here is the profiler specs and the result:
Let me know if you need more. BTW, the reason Ninja Forms is so high is because it is the first plugin to load the composer.
Some advanced functions of the autoposting and scheduling are indeed part of the premium version
These aren’t advanced features. They are features that are literally in your plugin name here in the plugin library. You should rename the plugin here to be less misleading.
Ha! That was it. π€¦
There is indeed a tab for the custom post type and it makes perfect sense that the checks would be unique to each one.
Thanks for your plugin!!
Well I appreciate your support!!
EXACTLY that. If I was just making website posts it wouldn’t be a big deal. (I could always unpublish) However since publishing triggers the sending of thousands of emails, it is very important that the time be 5:30 AM (site time of course).
If you wanted other time related thingsβ¦ If there was a check to ensure “Publish date/time is in the future” I would also use that. Otherwise when setting up drafts (and editing/scheduling them later) I could end up with a post timed for 5:30am but for some previous date.
Naturally if my brain was big enough I would be hyper aware if the button said “Publish” or “Schedule”, but it’s not, lol.

Well, I can explain my use caseβ¦
I schedule a daily post (and corresponding email) for 5:30AM every day. It should never be at any other time.
When I make a new post it defaults, of course, to “immediately”. So every day I have to manually tick my box for “Change time to 5:30am”. However, I have several manual ticks so it is very easy for me to miss-tick. This is exactly the problem I’m trying to solve. The rule would be: Publication time must == 5:30am (site time)
I don’t know how useful this would be for other people, but perhaps there are other people who need to schedule posts for exact times.
My other manual checks are not possible to automate as they involve me making some kind of judgement/evaluation.
I can’t think of anything else, but if you think my case above would be useful to others, I might wait for you to implement it. π€©
Oh, very sorry! I didn’t read all of the instructions. I am familiar with js development but not PHP in this way. I will work on it though.
It would be great if there was a library of other checks. Your plugin is so useful for serious WP sites.
thank you !
hello! Thanks for the help!
I have no idea what “update the composer” means. Is that a command I issue on my local machine to do something with the local copy of the repo?

In reply to: How to restore the “Save Draft” buttonAh, that looks like exactly it. Thank you!
if so, hang on to it to give it a higher meaning.
Sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by “give it a higher meaning”? Should I report my issue in one of those threads? I’m not familiar enough with the development process to know how to decipher all of that. It doesn’t appear anyone is specifically fixing this.

In reply to: How to restore the “Save Draft” buttonYes, I just tried collapsing the left sidebar menu and now it looks more like your screenshot. I.e. the draft button is visible.
Would you agree that opening the left side menu shouldn’t hide that element?
It will take me some time to do your troubleshooting list but I will happily report back what I find. Thanks!

In reply to: How to restore the “Save Draft” buttonThanks. I will report to that developer. it’s PublishPress Checklists. So not some fly-by-night.
I realize there are reasonable size limits. I’m at 100% zoom with the window maximized. My screensize and resolution is quite reasonable. Wouldn’t turn heads in the coffee shop π
Thanks

In reply to: How to restore the “Save Draft” buttonWhat is your screen size?
Normal? It’s a 17″laptop. My resolution is a bit on the high side, but nothing unusual.
Any way, essential elements shouldn’t be hidden like that. Especially by a useless element.

In reply to: How to restore the “Save Draft” buttonIn case anyone is interested, here is my normal working state:

Clearly the Checklist button is the troublemaker. I will report the issue to them.
However that giant “No title – Post” button is what is covering things. There is no reason for it to be so large. Is that something I should bother reporting to the main WP devs?
