I have updated the plugin with your files. ill keep you posted on the fix.
do you have a better alternative to cleaning the unattached files. WP Media Cleaner is timing out as it tries to scan my images. wp media cleaner discovered 31000 images that it has to verify links.

If you permanently delete the post item, then that post and it’s associated featured image should be deleted.
But, again if you do this manually and you want to delete the featured image along with the post, make sure to simply put the post into trash, but then empty the trash (or click to permanently delete the post).
The problem that I am experiencing is the when the posts are permanently deleted the featured images created with this plugging remain. I think it’s a bug because the featured images created by this plugin remain unlinked in the gallery even after the trash is permanently deleted.
