The problem has been fixed in version 1.1.2 of WpMultimediaBridge plugin.

Here’s an example of a post a member did with a link to youtube.com, my plugin did the request to the site and presented a fancy box:

I’m only supporting youtube.com and vimeo.com right now but I’m working on others sources for the next update.
And also I will add other sources that are not video but only news, blog, and other kind of links.
