There was indeed a side cart plugin, WooCommerce Modal Fly Cart + Ajax Add to cart.
I disabled the cart plugin, and yours now works perfectly.
I’ve lost the ‘floating’ cart button now, but the functionality is there now, thank you.
To add, I’m pretty sure I’ve disabled Ajax add to cart, and that’s not made any difference.
