In reply to: [Browser Screenshots] Unable to render some web-sites?Hi – the screenshots are generated by a third party api managed by WordPress.com – so there’s not much I can do when things don’t work.
Normally issues are fixed by WordPress.com – they just take a while to notice the problems. The issues could also be due to websites changing their security settings. I have no control over that either.
If the Javascrpt issue is on the front-end of the website than it’s not with this plugin. Browsershots doesn’t use any JavaScript on the front of the site.

The only thing I can think is that the slider module hasn’t been enabled in the Toolbelt settings.
If it’s been enabled then can you open up your browser console and see if there’s any JavaScript errors?

In reply to: [Browser Screenshots] Watermark on imagesHi again – there’s no way to see these things I’m afraid. The code is simply linking to an image on a server. There’s no way to know what the status of the image or screenshot is.
Potentially you could do a curl request before displaying the image and see what the response is, but if you have a lot of images that would be slow and it may not even work. It’s not something the plugin supports.

In reply to: [Browser Screenshots] Watermark on images1) No limit I am aware of. I have done some quite large things with it and never had a problem. I’ve also confirmed with the team at dot com that they don’t mind me publishing this plugin, so I’m not doing anything without permission.
2) The images get refreshed roughly every 48 hours.

This text gets output where the WordPress logo is on a “normal” login page. The text is hidden, and replaces text that says “powered by WordPress”.
I wonder if it should be added underneath the login box as well, so that it’s visible somewhere. Not sure if it’s really needed though?

An option to save screenshots would be cool. Maybe if there was a setting you could opt in to. Unfortunately I don’t know if it’s possible. Because I’m using a third party service I don’t have any control over things like that. I’ll keep it in mind though – maybe I’ll be able to think of something.

In reply to: [WP Custom Login] flickr showcaseHi Tracey – Thanks for the message. I must admit I set up the Flickr group a long time ago (more than 10 years) but I am not really a flickr user so I don’t check it very often. I have just gone through and cleaned it up. Looks a lot better now 🙂
