In reply to: YouTube Blurry ThumbnailsThis is actually not a WordPress issue. It is a problem with the images uploaded to YouTube by the video author. I had the same problem with videos I was uploading for a client about a month ago and it took me about an hour to realize that the problem as actually being cause by the images provided by the client to use as thumbnails over on YouTube.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: Email notice re: auto updateGood point. I know that if you are using a security plugins such as WordFence and have the email notifications configured correctly you will get this whenever an update is detected by WordFence.
Hope this helps until WP.org team adds such a feature to the emails generated by core.

In reply to: Database Repair Errorsounds like you had iThemes security installed at one point. You will get the best support over in their support area: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/better-wp-security/
I’ve also tagged this thread with tags that might help their support community see this thread for you.
Maybe your database was damaged. If that is the case it will be very hard to resolve this and I’m not even sure where you’d start.
The only other thing I can think of is that your user accounts permissions are damaged and have been. Probably because at some point a permissions plugin was used to block you from accessing content not created by you. There are a few different plugins such a thing can be done with. If this was done and the plugin was then removed there is no way I am aware of to resolve the issue except to reinstall that exact plugin from the main admin’s account and reset all permissions for your account.
If you are the main admin than the database has been damaged and you will need to look into repairing post permissions so you see everything.
Okay, to be clear there is a built in health check feature that does not allow the plugins to be disabled. Since you have attempted using that feature of the plugin I’d suggest trying to reinstall WP by clicking the reinstall button. You can find this option by going to your main admin dashboard then clicking the Re-install button above the plugin section of the page.
the plugin is not the same as the built in feature. I have a hunch you have not tried the plugins yet. Please install the plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ and you will see on the plugins page that an option to disable for debugging shows up that is not there by default.
The built in feature of WP does not allow you to disable plugins. As I described in my earlier post
The plus of using this plugin is it will disable everything for just the logged in admin who is doing the debugging.

In reply to: Free Newsletter plugin suggestionHi, this forum isn’t normally here to provide plugin suggestions. However, here are my two favorite newsletter plugins.
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/email-posts-to-subscribers/
https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/newsletter/
Usually for newsletters I’d suggest using a service like MailChimp that specializes in email lists though.
Hope this helps.

@pidengmor makes a good suggestion see what using default theme with no plugins does. I would suggest using the troubleshooting plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ to do that. The plus of using this plugin is it will disable everything for just the logged in admin who is doing the debugging.

In reply to: HTML tab and link issuesAre you using the classic editor? https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/classic-editor/
If so, there is probably a theme or plugin conflict. I’d suggest using the Troubleshooting plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ to debug and see what is causing the problem.
Hope this gets you headed in the correct direction!
Are you using elementor? If so their 3.0 update causes an issue similar to this on some installs, what version are you running?

In reply to: Portfolio only works on Home PageYou will need to find a new theme then. IF they are not supporting their theme anymore that means it is likely not compatible with the latest version of WP either. Unfortunately, we do not help you debug code here unless it is core wordpress code. Theme developers are aware of this. Sorry we can not be of more help here.
