Two of my backups work without error and are on the same server as the problem child.

    I normally don’t get a 500 error.

The problem backup is about 1.5 gigs zipped compared to the other two which complete without a problem and are about 150 megs zipped.

The bottom line is that after running a database and files backup, if I delete the “running file” then it shows as being backed up in the control panel. When I unzip it, it seems to be fine for all the files. I then have a separate backup of the files and a separate .sql file. I can always zip them together myself, if I want to.

I just wish your program could complete its process?

    Could be worse, I guess.

No, unfortunately I don’t have access to the server logs.

I am sorry to keep adding more info.

After I closed the Server Error message, it deleted everything in the backup folder. I assume this is normal, since it wasn’t a complete backup, although it did look like the correct file size.

I did a files only manual backup and looking at the files, It looks complete, but it left behind this file only (no error file)-
.schedule-1371658313-running and of course, doesn’t show in the control panel as being there.

There is also a response from the server:

    500 Internal Server Error

Sorry, last reply was in error.

When I downloaded the zipped database backup, it expanded to a normal size?
The database only backup worked ok. Sorry, I am not used to seeing that database file zipped up, it is usually left behind unpacked.

    Thanks Tom for your response.
I just did two “run now” manual database ONLY backups. They finished in seconds, but they are about 7 megs short of a full sql backup.
