I also encountered a box with a border showing up in the middle of many of our posts. This is after deactivating printfriendly. When I totally removed it, that problem disappeared. I’m really sorry, but I don’t have time to test this with you.
The url is http://www.csudhnews.com/. I deactivated the plugin, so the problem does not appear now. It was creating additional margin space around all of the thumbnail photos on the home page.
