Yeah I persevered and removed some excess CSS I didn’t really need and voila, it all just started to work.

Sorry I was literally adding the footer in as you posted that it seems. The footer should look normal under all browsers now, however I still can’t fix the background.

Just added, no such love 🙁
Edit: Adding color:#fff; works slightly, however it makes almost everything within the content white 😛
