This is a wordpress issue. I have already used some of the other suggestions in other queries such as resetting the categories value in mySQL, installing the widgets reset plugin and deactivating my theme and reactivating it.

I ended up, uninstalling wordpress completely and reinstalling… Thanks for your help and feedback, it really helped alot!
