“meta name” would be either “keywords” or “description”; but like you others, I’m a bit cloudy as to “reference name” and “content name”. I thought “content” was just…content?

However I did type out the list of active plugins I find useful at my site. I think Wordbooker might be something I installed about a month ago; are you using that one? The others I listed would be more recent acquisitions (except for Akismet which I’ve had since day one).

In reply to: [Plugin: Widget Paginator] Pagination of categories suddenly quit on me.I’ve been testing different numbers in the settings, formerly I had 5 in Categories and it worked fine. I’ve tried inserting 3 and 4, all I get is two sections, one with almost all my categories in a long list, the second part only showing the final one! If I put back the 5, the plugin refuses to function at all for me. Any advice?
For cosmetic reasons I’ll disable it for the time being, but if the author can help me I can easily enable it again to show what’s wrong.
I did some more editing of my category listing and discovered that tweaking them was not the reason for the plugin failure.

I have 2 accounts b/c on dot Com I use a different ID and would rather make a different image for that (yet to be updated). I also have an older obsolete one; but we can’t delete accounts at Gravatar.com. So it’s a matter of keeping things better organized…

I just installed this plugin and I’m having the same trouble, folks, it isn’t working for me either!- and I’m on 3.1.2 also. 🙁

I had the Widgets for Categories set as dropdown and was just causing myself some unnecessary confusion. Where I need pagination is for when the non-dropdown listings are strung all down the sidebar…but, you know that! No wonder I was having trouble….LOLOL. I have something like 25 Categories showing in the long list. I went and put 5 for dividing that, and something else similar for dividing up other lists. So far, so good.
So I think with a little more experimenting and tweaking it’ll be fine…thanks…

I typed something in for Items Per Page and Pagination Options but I’ve no clue whether I did that right or not. I have a lot of categories so that number is high, maybe too high?

In reply to: Making some improvements, so far so goodThanks! It wasn’t much different than now, but the most obvious changes have been social interaction plugins and such. I finally dug up the AddThis plugin, I always wondered how they did that!
I still don’t have a custom header. I could easily make one, but the reason I left it as text is that, I’m a rural dialup user and illustrated headers cause pages or posts to load really slow…
I see now what is meant by shortcode. Being a very non-technical person, I’ve never used shortcode in my life, LOL, I just use my blog mostly for a “scrapbook,” a means to display a growing collection of photos, not much else.
Perhaps this is the reason the plugin isn’t functioning for me? =/
I’ve never used shortcode, only slugs, and I trust those are all correct…it might be wise for me to run over my post list to be certain, though…
