YES, the bot traffic comes from google. they are google bots and just way to many of them. taking up 30-40 % of the over all website traffic.
and its slow because it must load google analytics first and if some one like me does not allow cross site tracking it will never load, sometimes crashing the website.
You can do some searching and look up bad google bots on abuseipdb.com im sure you will see how many i have posted there and also when i stopped using GSK on some of my sites the reposts slowed.
Now im still dealing with AWS and MS bots. but now far less google bots.
