Since version 1.7 it is possible to set links (<a href="”…”">) direktly to thumbnails and images. To set a link, go into your NextGen Gallery → Manage Gallery and edit the image descriptions (not the Gallery description).
If you write: [scrollGallery thumblink="http://www.bmo-design.de" thumblink_target="_blank"] you will set an external link to my page, which will open in a new window (target=”_blank”).
Also you can set image links and image targets. Here’s an example with all the possibilities: [scrollGallery imglink="http://www.bmo-design.de" thumblink="http://software.bmo-design.de" imglink_target="_self" thumblink_target="_blank"].</a>

Ok. I think the problem is, that one or more of your images in your nextgen gallery has no correct hight information in the database.
Please go to your nextgen admin interface and open the gallery with the problem.
Please check if all images has a width and hight information under their title.
Normally each image has a title, a date and a dimension, for example:

“Karlsruhe at night
18. Juni 2011
532 x 800 pixel”

I think one or more images has no correct size information in the database.
If you find such images in your gallery. Try to upload that images again.

many people use 2.0.2.
It works if your theme css supports that new css.

Witch version of nextgen Gallery do you have installed?
