In reply to: Sidebar at The BottomYou are probably better off taking the fucntions out of the sidebar and putting them into the footer section. Then style your footer as you want.
It isn’t impossible to do what you want to do, but it is easier to just take out the search, categories or other functions out of the sidebar.Forum: Themes and Templates

I think the original poster just wants to make a cool wordpress site that he wants to design. Correct?
I agree with the posters about a WYS. theme editor is a bad way to go. I learned by studying the kubrick theme then looked a bunch of other themes and tried to understand why they did their design a certain way.
I think of wordpress and a kick ass lego set. You just need to learn how to add modules and see how things are done.
Plus on another topic, design is only part of a succesful website. Content and communicating is far more important than the theme that is being used.Forum: Your WordPress

http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Template_Tags/list_catsi think dates should be added to each post. but my friend pointed out that if you dont have dates, and you lag in making new posts, then people wont know that your posts are old. unless the recognize the content is old.
i would move the archives section below the categories.
and i like the table styling. did you do it yourself?
