Activating got me the following (aaaaa.com substituted for actual domain name) but I will try again after upgrading the theme:

Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare kad_accordion_shortcode_function() (previously declared in /home/wp_xp35bh/aaaaaa.com/wp-content/themes/pinnacle_premium/lib/kad_shortcodes/general_shortcodes.php:33) in /home/wp_xp35bh/ccri.com/wp-content/plugins/virtue-toolkit/shortcodes.php on line 20

Please don’t apologize–I’m new to the more technical aspects of WordPress, and while I have a lot of programming and web background, I’ve managed to avoid PHP most of my life.

Under Appearance, I see Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menus, Custom CSS, Edit CSS, Theme Recommended Plugins, and Editor, and when I select Themes I don’t see anything about Options. I do see a Customize button on the “Active: Pinnacle Premium” thumbnail, but after selecting that I don’t see Misc Settings or anything else that leads to the setting of specific values such as copyright text.

I also see that we’re using 1.3.3 of Pinnacle Premium and that 1.5.4 is available. I’m going ask the people I inherited from before I upgrade.

Thanks for the very quick answer. (And please forgive my misspelling of “Resetting.”)

It looks like I was looking at footer.php when I should have been looking at templates/footer.php.

When I did as you suggested, it didn’t output anything. Maybe $pinnacle[‘footer_text’] is empty? How can I check?
