In reply to: [User Access Manager] UPDATE?It’s odd. To load a picture that is 1 MB or more, the pic shows as a blank box.
I then have to deactivate and activate UAM to get the pic to show.Done it on 3 sites – so I know how to fix it, just don’t understand why it happens.
No sweat.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Check if post/page/etc is restrictedUnder “Settings” – “Other Settings” – next to “Admin hint text”, whatever you put in that hint text will show up next to (right corner) a post title or page label if that post or page is restricted. The hint is only visible to Admins.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Backend Plugin AccessIn the Settings, you can opt to allow authors to control their own group and content.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Hide content from all around the siteUAM blocks users in a “GROUP” that you establish and insert the user in. I don’t think it distinguishes between logged in and logged out, only in a group or not.
That said, with UAM, if you have designated groups, and a post is listed specific to a group, then the post and link to the post will only be visible to those in the group.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Restrict pagesYes, that’s exactly what this plugin does.
Not only can they not access the page, but they won’t be able to see the menu tab unless they log in, if the page is restricted.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Widget > Posts not hiddenMake sure you have the Post Type settings correct.
Even though you set the “default” object type, you have to bring down the drop down to “Posts” and set that for the default as well.
In all of the settings tabs, the “default” setting doesn’t act as an override unless you tell each setting to use the default.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] restrict access to parts of a postWhen you view an individual picture, on the bottom right you should see the User Groups that you’ve set up and can choose to restrict as you would a post or page.

In reply to: [User Access Manager] Menu Still ShowsDid that, put a new tab, opened in different browsers – still see the tabs and the dropdown also shows. Have never seen this issue before. And if you can see the menu tabs for Owners and Hernandez, then I assume it’s not cache. Thanks

In reply to: [User Access Manager] private menu entries are not hiddenNot sure if this answers your question.
Two things to look for.
On the “Other settings” page, if “Lock Recursive” is set to No, then you can control both the parent page and the child page individually – which extends to the menu.
To give you more control over pages and posts visibility, when on the Post Type tab in the settings, go to the drop-down that says default and bring up the Posts and Pages individually rather than have the default control it.
So you might have the Pages setting set at No (Use default) and then Yes (hide complete post)

In reply to: [User Access Manager] How do we check if a page has restricted accessIf you have set up the User Groups then on the page/post when editing, you’ll see the list of groups that you can restrict that page/post to.
Once you do that, you (as admin) when viewing the page/post or the menu tab for that page/post, will see a designation next to it, letting you (as admin) know that it is a restricted page/post.
In the UAM-Settings-OtherSetting, there is a selection that says “Admin hint text” with the default being [L]. If restricted, that’s the symbol you’ll see next to the post/page name or the menu for that post/page. You can change the hint to [*] or whatever works for you.
