REST API works fine, as for the second part – the other mobile app developer will check it and I’ll let you know
Currently it works for /wp-json/wp/v2/posts endpoint, it would be great if in the future you could add custom post types support

You described everything great in the feature request.
As for my example – I have a website and an mobile app that work separately and mobile app gets posts via /wp-json/wp/v2/posts WP endpoint to display latest news and link to the website from it.
It would be great it likes would be also available there and mobile app users could see them and trigger likes if possible.
