I agree, this keeps appearing no matter how many times i close it. If i refresh the edit page, i get the message again.
Even if it’s a post type that’s not using Elementor, i still get this message.
I get that Elementor has created a new product and want to promote it, but there are ethical ways to do this, without intrusive and repetitive notifications.
I am NOT interested in using the expensive credit-based image optimizer from Elementor, and now i have to be exposed to what’s basically an advertisement, every time i go to upload an image, even if it’s not related to Elementor, as long as Elementor is installed.
The fact that you say you cannot replicate it, is literally not true and i can conform that this has 0 to do with caching – it’s from what i see the way you’ve designed it to work.
PLEASE don’t be like this, and fix it.
A no is a no, and Elementor should respect this.
It’s not your fault that i am blind 😀 I didn’t notice the compact mode.
I have changed my review. Thanks for the explanation Gregor!

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Disable REST authentication for specific routeHi @judagutor , thanks for your reply 🙂
Oh yeah, i actually think i bumped into that post yesterday (they’re the same but posted 2 different places 😀 )
Please correct me if i’m wrong, but doesn’t that snippet disable authentication entirely for the WC REST API? – if yes, that’s a little too risky for me to use. I was hoping that it would be possible to pass in an argument to exactly which endpoint that should not be protected. Is that possible or is it all or nothing?
Thanks again for your response!

In reply to: [VS Event List] Falls short@lelimousin lol. no one asked you mr. Outside Observer.
There’s nothing agressive about it so please stop trying to make it sound like it.
It’s constructive critisism exactly as described. I find a couple of things about it to be bad, and i provide feedback on it. So yeah, please go somewhere else with your negativity 🙂Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Geo Redirect] Future plans?Yeah, in Denmark it also works, but when i connect from VPN, it doesn’t.
I am not sure about the GDPR complience though. The data received from ipstack DOES contain latitude and longitude, but that is for the nearest datacenter as far as i know, and not for the client himself.
I do not intend to make use of the coordinates, but only the country code of where the visitor comes from, to perform the redirect.
As far as i know, the GDPR is only an issue if the information can be connected to that specific visitor, in which case this cannot.
I’m going to ask my employer who has much more knowledge on GDPR than me.
Regarding your question, i don’t know. The issue with this would also be that this file (unless it’s an API) would have to be updated regularly.. this is the whole reason this plugin has stopped working as intended.
I have checked some free API’s and they all return coordinates. They don’t however work with VPN IP addresses, so this is why i chose ipstack (for now anyway) until i find something free that is guaranteed to work.

In reply to: [Geo Redirect] Future plans?I will clone the plugin, and work on it.
However, i am going to use online IP decoding service instead of relying on a file like the current plugin does.
The most accurate IP information provider i have found is ipstack(dot)com who provides up to 10.000 API calls per month, for free.
Only downside is that it requires an API key, but luckily it’s free up to 10.000 per month.
I have tried other online IP services but most of them cannot find the country the server address the client is comming from if they are using a VPN.
No ETA on release though.
@mathieubinette She’s clearly dodging the real question. This is Elementor support at its best to be honest.
They do state: Design ANYTHING with Elementor, but it is clearly wrong and false advertisement.
Thanks for the reply.
You can tell the developers that WP has a add_term_meta / get_term_meta function that the devs can use to store Yoast SEO data per term.
Saving everything in a serialized array in the wp_options table is something i wouldn’t dare to expect from a professional plugin developer 🙂
