In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Unable to configure widgetFigured it out and now it’s working the way it’s supposed to. I was calling the ID attribute and not the name attribute, with this line:
!dynamic_sidebar(‘upper footer’)
Strange because it worked for several weeks without a problem. Thinking perhaps this was a deprecated method with the upgrade to 4.1.1.
Wanted to place this in here in case other people have this issue.
What I thought was just a GMW issue was an issue for all widgets.
PROBLEM THAT WAS RESOLVED: I could not configure any widget under Appearance/Widgets.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Unable to configure widgetI got it to work. Not sure if it is related to the new version 4.1.1, but turns out that I could not configure any widget, not just GMW. The default ones were also collapsing without letting me configure. I enabled Accessibility Mode and now it works. I just wonder if it should work without having to enable this.

In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Unable to configure widgetI installed via FTP and increased my memory. Nothing works. Just strange. I guess I have to use another plugin.

In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Unable to configure widgetNo, i haven’t tried that. I’m new to WP so I have been installing everything via the backend.
I have Contact Forms 7 installed still. That is the only plugin installed after I installed GMW.
I am also noticed an error in my WordPress News section in Dashboard:
“Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1966080 bytes) in /data/22/2/102/142/2591794/user/2842223/htdocs/newacereprographics/wp-includes/SimplePie/Item.php on line 2736”
Not sure how long it’s been there, and if it is even related.
Please keep in mind that I do see the map on my site. It’s just configuring it. When I drag the widget to the area i want it to be in, the configuration options flash for a second, then dissapear. When I click the arrow, nothing happens, only get option to Delete or Close.

In reply to: [Maps Widget for Google Maps] Unable to configure widgetI just removed every plugin that I installed and still does not work. This is strange. I guess I will try reinstalling WordPress (to see if it’s corruption) which is a little discouraging, considering that this is a relatively small website and everything else is working ok.
