Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Is it a good idea to rename index?I’m using ip.content, which is an addition for ip.board. Its similar to a single install wordpress in a way. Mainpage plus articles in categories with custom html pages, etc.
So whats my best option to give users as short URL possible, while keeping everything working properly? … Also with the possibility of replacing ip.content with wordpress down the road in mind.

In reply to: Multisite or single site.. what should I use?Sweet! So I went ahead with the install but I have a question regarding the URL and subdomain structure. Maybe I should make a better titled thread for this, but here we go:
My concerns are security and mixing WP into an already established website. Maybe this is silly, but I have installed WP inside of a subdirectory and into root. This way the wp files are contained above and away from my other websites files. Since all I really want are user blogs, and I’m not looking to use WP for my home page at this time.
So I have WP installed in blog.site.com, and what I was hoping for, was to be able to create network blogs as *.site.com. So people could have example joe.site.com, but the options I am given are: joe.blog.site.com OR directory structure, blog.site.com/joe .
I understand the reasoning behind this and why it is happening, I’m just wondering if there is a “supported” method to doing what I’m looking for. Or, if I should can that idea and go for site.com/blog/joe … or blog.site.com/joe .
Thanks again 🙂

In reply to: Antivirus blocking my WP blog??Cool thanks, I just checked that out, but…
So far everything on the site is a clean install, new passwords, clean computer, everything SHOULD be good. BUT
That site is showing my site as not clean, and says these are the issues…
-some kind of code in the twentyeleven theme
-some google analytics code my server injects into the pageNot sure what to do about those things, should I get rid of the theme, and try to figure out how to keep the server from injecting that analytics code into my pages? Not having much luck with that so far.
Also, in other news, it seems like NOD32 blocks all .co.cc domains by default possibly. Doesn’t explain the issues above though, or the possibility of chrome blocking the page, but I have been unable to replicate the chrome blocking on my own browser.
Thanks guys, I’m getting closer I think! 🙂

In reply to: Antivirus blocking my WP blog??Ok, so my next question is, how can I be sure everything is cleaned out?
Seems NOD32 adds blocked pages to a list, and I’m not so sure it automatically updates and removes those sites when they are clean. Also, I’m do not know if once manually removed from the list, it would ever pop up again if the site became infected again, or is in fact still infected.
