In reply to: Images not loading anymoreI’m with you on that one. If there was an auto-backup first, that would help, but I prefer to control my own sites.
As it was, this one cost me about 3 days time, and I certainly had better things to do!

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreReloading the images didn’t fix the problem.
I was able to get a full backup from 1/23 – prior to the auto-update to 3.8.1. After doing a complete delete / restore of the site, images are back and I was able to update everything to current versions without any more problems.

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreYou’re right, the month/year is from files that were uploaded through WordPress, the others were loaded via FTP.
I suppose it can’t hurt to delete and reload. I’ll see what happens.

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreThe images are listed in the media library, but there are no thumbnails, just error boxes for images that won’t display.
The same happens when I try to add an image to a post – I get boxes and all the data appears to be there (sizes, titles, target links, etc.) but the images don’t display.
Each shows the same type of box you can see home my home page where images should be (claravon.com)

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreWell, against my wishes and in spite of installing a plugin to prevent auto-update, WordPress moved me back to 3.8.1 last night!
Since I’m on 3.8.1 again, I ran the WP Ranger Rebuild Meta plugin this morning, and the Regenerate Thumbnails…but with no luck.
I’e also ran a DB check and repair through my host and that didn’t help. After spending most of my weekend on this, I’m getting desperate for a fix here…

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreI rolled back to 3.8 and used the plugins mentioned in the post linked above. Still no luck. “Force Regenerate Thumbnails” says it has “success” but they still don’t show in my media library and the images on the site don’t display either.
Since 3.8.1 was an auto-upgrade, I don’t have an immediate database back up. I can roll back a couple of weeks, but I hate to lose work that was done in the interim. (I’ve turned off auto-updates so this won’t happen again!)
Any other ideas? I need to get this fixed ASAP as this is my primary business site!

In reply to: Images not loading anymoreThanks, doesn’t look like a Headway issue since it persisted when I changed to the other themes.
If problem could be with 3.8.1. I’ll see if I can rollback to 3.8. These are existing images that we’re working just fine before, and they’re still on the server.
