    Thank you for the reply Marc. I had already done that and it turned out that my issue was with godaddy. When I created the sub-domain on godaddy’s cpanel it automatically designated a new folder for the sub-domain (with nothing in it), when I installed the new wordpress it was loaded there. To fix the issue I had to point the folder to the same folder as my original site where it would use the already installed wordpress files and become a part of the network.
