I removed them with the code mentioned above
but I can’t figure out how to move the text to the left so that it’s aligned with the widget title: Pages:See how the address text until the second widget is aligned with the widget title, that’s what I’m trying to do with the Pages widget.

In reply to: Question re: Functions file in a child themethanks Esmi, I know not to edit the main theme and I’m certainly not planning to leave it like that (hence this post). When I couldn’t get the child to work, I tried to edit the parent to make sure that my code was right.
Start with a blank text file called functions.php in your child theme and take it from there.
Done that but it’s the take it from there that I’ve been stuck on for many hours.
