About the plugin not working “entirely” on /login/

Sorry I’m an idiot, if permalinks are not set yet, default is /?login and not /login/.

    My bad.

Renaming wps-hide-login to .wps-hide-login (note the dot) “fixed” the issue. (if I’m okay not using hide login)
I think the latest version has something to do with my configuration.

    – installed wordpress 5.5 clean
    – installed Neve theme and its plugin
    – imported Neve template and content
    – installed plugins:
    – akismet
    – classic editor (prevent stupid wizard every time I edit an Elementor page)
    – contact form 7
    – contact form 7 conditional fields
    – elementor
    – essential addons for elementor
    – jetpack
    – orbit fox companion (Neve)
    – seopress
    – wps hide login
    – wps login limit

    Thanks in advance,
    Bryan.

    Following up,

I can confirm that on latest WordPress (5.4 as of writing), without any plugin but “wps hide login”, it works flawlessly.

I then tried (right now) to install it on my production WordPress instance with a bunch of other plugins, and with version 5.4 of WordPress and v1.5.6 of WPS Hide Login, it works perfectly.

It seems that, for me at least, the bug has solved.
Thanks a lot for your effords!
    Bryan.

Currently having the following plugins enabled (all latest versions atm of writing) on my personal website (portfolio/blog):

    • Akismet Anti-Spam 4.1.3
    • AMP 1.4.4
    • Contact Form 7 5.1.6
    • Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights 7.10.4
    • Jetpack by WordPress.com 8.2.3
    • SEOPress 3.8.1
    • WP Page Builder 1.2.2

Working fine on theme “Bard” 1.6.7.4 with permalinks set to /%postname%/%post_id%/

As of now, WPS Hide Login 1.5.5 does not work with my setup; error 404 is returned as a redirect from /wp-admin/ while /?backend-login (my configured “hidden” login URL) displays my home page.
