In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Get “to” email based on custom fieldHi @takayukister I think it is a problem with the insert pages plug-in. If I go to a single page, then the default:meta tags I used above all work, but when I use the contact form with the “insert pages” plug-in, it doesn’t.
So I will work out another way to list our branches, and keep using the contact form as is, which seems to work well.
Thanks again for your time.
I’ve decided to go with a different option to the DTX, but neither of them is working for me now. Its a difficult situation.
I’m wondering if its a compatability issue with the new WP update.
I’m so new to all this, that I keep asking silly questions too!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Get “to” email based on custom fieldHi Takeshi, thanks again for your replies. I have entered the below in the form-tag tab
[hidden email branch_email default:post_meta “branch_email”]
and in the Mail Tab i have in the TO section: [branch_email], [email protected]
My custom field is branch_email.
It seems it still isnt working. I get the form sent to tony@myemail, but not to the other one.
If i take out the hidden part in the short code when i load the page i see a branch_email field, and occasionally if i autopopulate the fields it completes this section with my own email.I’ll probably have to create a contact form for each branch at this stage, as it doesn’t seem to want to work for me.
We did have the DTX installed, and this worked well, but it stopped working, and they don’t seem to be supporting this plug-in now anyway.
If you have anything else you can recommend I try that would be great, but otherwise i’ll stop annoying you and the forum with my questions.
I do very much appreciate your help so far.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Get “to” email based on custom fieldsorry @takayukister, I have treid the different syntax. when I have used the syntax [email branch-email default:post_meta “branch_email] it still doenst work. The custom field name is “branch_email” I have replaced the type section with email, text and email* and text* and it still doesn’t work. I have two lists of custom fields in my page builders, (not sure why), is this a possible cause for the fault where CF7 is trying to get two sets of data?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Get “to” email based on custom fieldThankyou for the reply Takayuki,
Unfortunately that didn’t work.
I used the shortcode [branch-email default:post_meta “branch_email”] in the form section, and then used [branch-email] in the TO section of the mail tab.
On a separate website this seems to work, on the jkaaustralia.com.au website this doesn’t do anything. I have also seen that the DTX is having an issue in getting a value from a custom field.
Do you have any suggestions? We are using the avada theme.
Could there be an issue where we use the “insert pages” plug-in and the collapse-o-matic plug in, and the contact custom fields aren’t loading properly when the collapse-o-matic trigers and loads the page details?@ronanwni I am having the same issue.
My DTX shortcode is almost the same, except it has branch_email instead. I have checked the custom fields on my page a few times now to make sure they have branch_email. I have tried deactivating DTX and re-activating it, tried removing the dynamic hidden and then re-doing it, and also hit the “update” button on the custom field to see if that helped!

In reply to: Will i lose CSS if i change themesHI Joy, thanks for the reply.
I’m sorry if it wasnt clear what i was asking, and it probably doesnt make sense to someone who knows CSS!We have widget areas, that contain custom links and css instead of plugins or widgets. One takes a user to a membership page, and the others are facebook feeds. The links in these widget areas are what i mean by losing css and links. IF that makes sense!
