Well after a whole heap of searching I found that this plug in is outdated and unsupported, which just makes me wonder why the hell it is in the repository, come on WordPress pull your finger out, I’ve found posts from people saying that this plug in should have been dropped 18 months ago.

It’s like the Buddypress Activity Plus Plugin, it doesn’t work at all, and caused lots of problems on the site, for lots of people, if I can see the complaints so can you, so the big question is this, well it’s actually a HUGE ONE… WHY ARE THEY BEING OFFERED TO USERS? It’s wasted two days of my time, and it’s a joke.

The other issue is this, are the creators of these plugins still receiving donations? Of course they are, are they part of the WordPress set-up, I shall look into this big-time.

Some kind hearted unsuspecting individuals will donate even before they have tested the plug in as they will believe like I did that ‘because its being offered on the WordPress platform it can be trusted, to at least work’.

There is no way of gauging how much this guy in South Africa who created this has received since the plug in hasn’t worked, but I can see that he has not posted for four years so that tells us something, whilst the plugin has amassed thousands of installs. This plugin and others like it should be removed immediately, I shall be contacting buddy-press about it also, its a disgrace, and in my own professional opinion I feel that WordPress has sadly left a stain on its reputation as far as I am concerned, I thought it was all above board, crispy clean and lilly white, but I am getting a bad smell as far as this and the way the whole Buddypress platform has been being rolled out with more glitches than I’d care to or have the time to mention.

Be nice to get a reply, which I am not counting on.
