Thanks for the reply. After further searching I found a reply way down in the support threads that google calendar feeds aren’t currently supported. (I’m using the GCal plugin to acquire the feed.)

From what I can tell, it shows up in the list of options because it is a custom post type and the code just loops thru them and displays them all. Would be nice if it had worked, but I found the IBS FullCalendar plugin that did what I needed. (Which was simply to restyle our google calendar feed embedded in a post.)

That is correct. Currently a logged in user with any level of credential (author, editor, contributor, subscriber) can see the GCal Events item in the dashboard menu. Clicking it or any of its sub menus leads to a page stating they don’t have permissions to access that page. Subscribers shouldn’t even see it as an option in the menu, Authors, editors, and contributors… maybe. Depends on the site.
