    I’ve worked it out. “Widgets” have been redundant for some years now and replaced by “blocks”. It seems either you use a theme with a block editor and install a widget plugin, or use a “classic” WP theme with native widgets.

    Thanks for getting back to me but I still cant see it. I’m self-hosting WordPress and just using the generic Twenty Twenty-Four Theme. When I go to add a widget block, Weather Widget Pro is not an option (Archives, Calendar, Terms List etc.). If I add a shortcode or HTML widget, it still does not appear. If I search “weather” under “Blocks” there are no results.

    Appreciate the reply @bcworkz , there certainly are interesting times ahead! RSS feed wont work as the Twitter is private, and as you mentioned, it’s fragile at the best of times!
