  • Just a followup for anyone reading this thread. I solved the problem. Turns out my theme had a CSS declaration that forced the video to maintain a specific height which overruled any height settings I was putting in the shortcode.

    Removing that declaration from the theme’s CSS worked and now this awesome plugin works just like it’s supposed to.

    I would appreciate some insight on this as I am having the exact same problem.

    I’ve tried playing with the width and height dimensions. The video will stretch or shrink to any width but the height is always somewhere around 300 px even though I am specifying 480.

    The lightbox behind the video will conform to whatever width and height I set in the shortcode but the video won’t match it.

    Thank you 🙂

    Hi David;

    The largest file is 66 MB.

    No cloud storage – My backups are configured to save directly to my hosting server. This is at the stage where I’m trying to download directly from my host to my computer.

    As long as you don’t think this indicates a problem with the actual backup then I am fine just using FTP.

    Thanks for the fast response as usual 🙂

    Alexis;

    I posted my question on the Updraft forum and the plugin owner provided an answer for me, maybe it will work for you as well.

    Thanks David. As per your advice I modified my wp-config.php and uploaded it. I re-ran the backup and it went much faster although it looks like there may have been a hiccup. I have pasted a new log file at http://pastebin.com/VvKAbXfA

    Could you please take a quick look and see if the backup looks alright?

    As for the server’s performance I would have to contact my host. I did log in and verify that I am only using 0.5 out of an allocated 10 GB so capacity is not the problem. The only other thing I can think of is that I have 3 WordPress installations. But they are each under their own domain, in their own database, and I only have UpDraft on this one.

    Oh and I did get a “Backup Succeeded” e-Mail as well.

    Thanks.

    Hi David. Thank you for the prompt response. I have de-activated and removed the standard plugin and installed the Developer version. I tried running the same manual backup again and got the same problem. The only difference is the file size is about half the size it was on the first attempt.

    I have pasted the log file for you at http://pastebin.com/yUfaeaCe

    Thanks for any insight you can give me.

    If I may add to your post alexisszx3, I am having the same problem.

    The log looks like this:

    0357.550 (5) Zip: backup_2013-06-28-0539_My_Site_8762f4e93338-themes.zip.tmp: 800 files added (on-disk size: 7672.1 Kb)
    0373.624 (5) Adding batch to zip file: over 1.5 seconds have passed since the last write (0.3 Mb); re-opening (prior size: 7672.1 Kb)
    0374.192 (5) ZipArchive::Close returned an error

    It loops like that for a period of time, then it starts counting files in the zip… again…

    0000.843 (5) backup_2013-06-28-0539_My_Site_8762f4e93338-themes.zip.tmp: Zip file already exists, with 972 files

    I don’t know how to abort the backup to stop this looping. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
