i couldn’t wait for a resolution for this. I moved to The Events Calendar plugin and it worked out of the box.
Yes, I too am getting this error. The event has a path, but the widget has “/?instance_id=9” after the path. No one can browse to the event.

Thanks. That did it. I though because there was nothing in the widgets, that it couldn’t be the place, but that’s the magic of PHP / WordPress. Thank you for your fast help.
