SOLUTION:
disable the rename of the admin login page feature (under brute force)That worked, thanks!
Selecting the option to remove all data upon deactivation, and then deleting the plugin.Because it isn’t clearly stated in the article where this option is located in the plugin I am including the answer here for future users who might need this info: I found it under “all options” and then “general wordfence options”.
I had the out-of-the-box permalink structure, hadn’t changed it in WP yet when it happened. I think it was set to month and name I believe, or at least with a date. But I changed it to post name later. Why do you ask? Have there been issues with that?
I just tried to reinstall your plugin again, and it is finally working properly. Even with all the settings and the rename of the wp-admin URL. Maybe something was corrupted in the database tables, and since I have deleted those, if that’s what it was, they are not causing any problems anymore.
@canvasmm you might want to try that as well…
@canvasmm you can disable the plugin in the database via the phpadmin. Once disabled, you can login again.
I have had to delete all the tables that the aiowps plugin made, I’ll see if that helps and whether I can reinstall the plugin again…
Nope, as soon as I click on the “settings” of the reset plugin, it goes to a page saying “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

I tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling. Now every time I reinstall the plugin and activate it, it immediately goes to the 404 page. It doesn’t even ask me if I want to reinstate the security setting from before the deactivation…

Were you able to update it? I don’t see a newer version yet.
Tx!

In reply to: What is wrong with wordpress !?Wow…
There really is only one person being childish here and in a couple other threads the same person. Not sure why he keeps embarrassing himself.
If you have a problem with WordPress rseigel; I suggest you either start “improving” it yourself or just start using Joomla or Drupal instead, instead of trolling the support forum. Useless…

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Break RSS feedUnfortunately I am not in the position to do that as we have a high profile website.
The feed broke around the same time I installed your plugin. I turned off your plugin and the feed started working again. Meanwhile I have now turned your plugin on again, to re-test, and luckily the feed is still working. At this point it will be hard to find out what initially caused the feed to break as the problem seems gone now, but I am just glad it is working again.
Thanks

In reply to: [All-In-One Security (AIOS) – Security and Firewall] Break RSS feedNone of the posts show up. No error as the feed is valid (even validates through the validator), it just looks like we do not have any posts. When I turned off your plugin it suddenly got populated with all the posts.
I have disabled as much plugins as I felt comfortable with. Some plugins I am not comfortable disabling as I do not want the website to break (advanced custom fields for instance) and the problem still persists. I am also not in the position to change theme, we run a highly visible super professional website.
I did follow multiple threats about the problem and it seem like a lot of people have the same captcha issue. Perhaps you can start doing some testing around this yourself? As you are the plugin owner.
Thanks
