Dear Bill, thank you very much for this extensive answer.
I’ll need some time to dig through this as things are not working as I’d expect. Nevertheless, my original quesiton is more than answered so I’ll mark this as resolved.
Thank you, this got me a step ahead.
However, I have not found documentation on the possible variables I can pass to a function, such as $args, $atts, $output etc, and which parameters I can access through each of these. (except by reading your tutorials and guessing the rest). So, I’m trying to figure out why the following doesn’t work.
Once defined
[display-posts category="myCategory"]I should be able, in code-behind, to do
if( 'myCategory' == $args['category'] ) print_r( $args );However, this does not work.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Thank you Paul.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Cache will not auto-purge when using Gutenberg CustomizerSo, your answer actually is: “No, you’ll have to purge the cache manually. Sorry, we don’t take into account the WordPress Customizer”.

Gave it another try and changed my review.
I still get the bug on Nivo slider, I managed to resolve the other issues by uninstalling a different slider plugin and carefully checking my settings.Thanks for your feedback and assistance.
I tried to make a 1000px x 705px slideshow
– preview does not scale correctly, but shows only a thubnail
– changing some settings, preview shows only one vertical slice of image
– on nivo slider, changing the effect will only affect first transition, all other transitions remain standard
– changing to a different slider, slideshow shows only one vertical slice instead of full imageAfter this, I gave up.

In reply to: [LiteSpeed Cache] Domain Key overwritten after pushing staging to liveIt looks like the problem resolved itself: after 48 hours, now we got a domainkey, and everything looks like it is nominal.
