I had exactly the same issue yesterday, and got rid of email subscribes plugin using FTP. And then I installed the new version 3.4.1. It was back and working fine. But then this morning, I cannot open any of my site page with the “Time out, connection error.” so frustrating… until this plugin update, everything was fine, so I wonder if this connection-time-out error has something to do with your update??
I don’t know what to do. Using PHP5.2 on server. Upgrading to 5.6 would be a good solution??

Your advice worked! I cleared cache in browser and also WP site. and it did fix the problem!

I had the same issue (same issue on the latest WP). So I uninstalled Jetpack lite 3.0 and reinstalled one older version (2.3.4.1), which works just fine -that’s all I need.
I chose Jetpack Lite because I didn’t like the weight of Jetpack (full version). So I don’t see the point of having the Lite along with Jetpack full.Thanks!

thanks for the tip. I actually did clear all the cache, but it didn’t solve the issue. I ended up turning off all the plugins and reinstall theme and turned on the plugins one by one. It’s okay now!
But still, I cannot upgrade to 3.5 version of WP (another thread, I guess).Thanks!
