My host gave me a specific IP for the DB_HOST, so I haven’t been using the ‘localhost’ to begin with…I couldn’t connect with it.
My hosting service gave me the link to this page, which should explain the current setup. Is something incorrect here?

Yes, I checked with them before I went through the motions of installing. They also provided me with the correct DB_HOST name.
Could it be that the DB_NAME is conflicting? For organizational purposes, I named the database ‘wp_main_muz’ (I thought I understood that if it was set up that way then I could do more than one without causing problems) – but could that be the problem? It takes forever for my host to verify changes, so I hesitate to change anything unless I can get confirmation that it could be an issue.
