I’m going to put this on hold for the moment. I’m not sure the need is great enough for the expense because we verify the user by email address. The name was just a request.
I will inspect the creation points to see if it could work.

Username is automatically generated.
Then it is looped into a user approval plugin.
Ah, right. We are using the billing fields to have them put in their first and last name.
So, I probably need the custom fields add-on to make it work. Correct?
