Is it the wrong way to go by using a static page? I was hoping to have some static content, under which i could place a magazine style display of my latest posts instead of a blog style front page. And then below which have more static content.
Any suggestions?

By setting up my home page, I´m referring to static information on the page, and selecting that “homepage” as my static front-page. (Similar to the demo twenty twelve frontpage http://twentytwelvedemo.wordpress.com/ )
What i would now want is to show my latest posts on my “homepage” like picture i attached above.
