loading the javascript and the css in the footer seems to have fixed the issue. thanks so much for your help!
i also tried disabling all other plugins that were loading css into the page. issue was still there (easingsliderlite was the only css loaded into the page).
🙁
I’ve removed the “code” tag – and the problem still remains. The homepage was the only place that the slideshow was wrapped in the code tag – the projects page (which also had the issue) was not wrapped in the code tag.
i tried not loading the template css at all, and the issue still occurred.

In chrome, load the page. Then reload the page by selecting the url in the address bar and hitting enter (page refresh by f5 doesn’t produce the issue). Hopefully you can reproduce the problem.
Thanks heaps for looking into this for me!
